4^th Annual Adler Piano Competition 

General information and rules

Location:        David Adler Music and Arts Center

Divisions:        Elementary (non-competitive):  4-8yrs

                             Junior: 9-12 yrs

                             Senior: 13-18 yrs 

Entry Fees:    Elementary:           $20

                             Junior and Senior:  $30 

Awards:           Junior and Senior divisions:

                                        1^st place:       $150

                                        2^nd place:      $75

                                        3^rd place:       $50 

Rules 

• Participation is open to the public.
• Participants may perform no more than 2 pieces exhibiting contrasting styles.  Junior and Senior participants must perform pieces from the standard piano repertory (no method books or simplified arrangements). 

• Pieces may be performed from memory, but this is not mandatory. 

• Junior and Senior participants must provide 2 copies (1 of which should be original) of their music on the date of the competition. Elementary participants must provide 1 original copy of their music on the date of the competition.

• Time Limits:

                        Elementary: 6 minutes

                        Junior and Senior: 8 minutes
