Seán McCluskey is a professional pianist and music educator living in Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University, where he majored in Jazz Studies. At sixteen, he was one three pianists and seventeen musicians selected nationally to attend the Dave Brubeck Institute Summer Jazz Colony on full scholarship. While at Northwestern he had the opportunity to study classical piano with Karen Kan-Walsh, and jazz piano with Michael Kocour and Joan Hickey. Seán has performed with such jazz notables as David Liebman, Maria Schneider, Christian McBride, Bob Mintzer, Joel Spencer, and Bobby Broom, and has also performed solo classical piano at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He has experience teaching piano to all ages and levels of ability.
