Suzuki Groups – Early Childhood – Drumming

Suzuki Violin (Twinkles)

Wednesdays, 6 – 6:30pm; 30 min. class, November 22 – February 21

Suzuki group class reinforces concepts and techniques learned in private lessons in a supportive and nurturing environment. Through games and ensemble playing, students will learn how to work together, follow a leader, adapt to new ideas and interpretations and experience the joy of making music with others. In a multi-level class, older students gain leadership experience as they act as role models for their younger peers. Beginners can be extremely motivated by seeing the older students perform.

Suzuki Cello

Suzuki FUNdamentals for Violin 

Fridays, 3:30-4:15pm, December 1 – February 23 (ages 3-6 with adult)
$180 for 12 week class  Register Now!

Suzuki FUNdamentals for violin is a fun and economical way to begin instrument study! These 12-week classes offer beginning Suzuki lessons in a small group setting (4-6 students). Upon completion of the class, students are ready to advance to private lessons. Parents attend classes and supervise home practice.

This class introduces the violinviolacelloguitar, and ukulele while still learning the foundational concepts of music. Explore and play together in our class designed for ages 0-5 and their caretakers.


West African Drum Class for Adults

Monday 6:00-7:30pm  February 5, 12, 19, 26
Instructor: Helen Bond

Helen will share with everyone the great joy of traditional hand drumming from Guinea, West Africa. You will learn basic rhythms on dunun drums and the djembe accompaniment parts. You’ll also learn the origins of each rhythm, receive expert instruction on all instruments in the traditional djembe orchestra and deepen your understanding of the place of music, dance and song in West African life.

Helen is able to work simultaneously with students of all levels – beginner to professional. All levels are welcome! Drums will be provided. No experience needed.
