Fingerpainting
Sure, we’ve all fingerpainted before…but never quite like this! Take fingerpainting to the next level by exploring a truly artistic approach, learning about texture, shading, and other aspects of design. And by the way…prepare to get messy! Limit 10.

One-a-day Multi-media Art Vitamin
Get your daily dosage of your multi-media art vitamin! Back by popular demand, campers will explore a wide variety of art media from paint to sculpture. Take your art vitamins, and prepare to get messy! Limit 15.

Clay Creations
Back by extremely popular demand! Use your imagination to create with clay. Simple clay sculpting using fingers, hands and simple tools will be demonstrated to make imaginative creations. Campers will explore the worlds of possibilities using pinch and coil techniques and basic slab building methods. Come create with clay! Limit 10. 

Music

Beginning Guitar (7-10yrs)
Always wanted to learn the guitar but never had the chance? Today is your lucky day. You’ll learn the basics of playing this popular instrument and before you know it you’ll be making beautiful music at Celebration of the Arts! Limit 5. 

Adler Idol
Do you have what it takes to be an Adler Idol? In this class we’ll work with you to develop a unique image, stage presentation, vocal technique and musical skills. Then you’ll prepare to bring down the house at Celebration of the Arts! Limit 5.

Story Theatre
Come with us as we bring stories to life on stage! Campers will learn basic acting techniques through theatre games and scenes in this fun and exciting class. Your family and friends will be amazed by your creativity!

Adler Night Live
Campers’ first step toward the exciting world of late night television! The class will be working together to create a mini-episode of Adler Night Live. Including an opening, a monologue and of course funny characters and sketches. Campers will use improvisation to write and perform…Live!

Monster Madness
Hey campers! Have you ever wanted to make something ugly? Well here’s your chance! Campers will make a large, imaginary creature using the process of papier mache. Get down…get dirty…get UGLY! Our creatures will be invading the grounds during Celebration of the Arts.
(Wheat paste will be used.) Limit 15. 

Wizard Works
Be whisked away into a faraway place where wizards, dragons and knights come alive! Art projects will be based on a medieval theme. Our court artisans will be creating objects from a 3-D paper castle to a jeweled goblet. Create your own legend! Limit 15.

Mask Making
Put on a mask and transform yourself! Campers will investigate different forms of mask making taking a cue from mask makers around the world. Campers will use a variety of materials like: paper, tag board, papier mache and plaster bandages. They will embellish their final masterpieces with paint and found objects. The question at Camp Adler will be; “Who’s behind the mask?”
(Wheat paste will be used.) Limit 15.

Music

Super Singers(7-10 yrs)
Maybe you’ve sung in a choir before? Maybe not. If you have, it’s probably been quite different from this—learn the joy of singing with others as you perform songs that you know and love with your friends! What more could you hope for? Singing is fun for everyone. Limit 5.

Explore the Piano
This class is perfect for those campers looking for an introduction to the piano. In addition to a basic introduction to the piano, campers will learn basic piano skills, including: 5 finger patterns, scales and familiar songs. Campers will then showcase their piano skills at Celebration of the Arts! Limit 5.

Have you ever wanted to write your own play? Back by popular demand, Playwright will provide you with the skills to do so. Campers will combine their creative talents to create their own dramatic masterpiece. Once created, they’ll rehearse and present it to family and friends at Celebration of the Arts. Limit 15.

One-a-day Multi-media Art Vitamin

Art Around the World
Travel the world right in your own backyard! This class will focus on handmade arts and crafts from around the world. Each lesson we will focus on a particular country, working our way from continent to continent. We will make our way around the world exploring unique cultural traditions in places like Mexico, China, Africa and North America. Get ready for an art adventure when our “Art Around the World” will be displayed at Celebration of the Arts. Limit 15.

Mobile Magic
Soar through the air as we make art that hangs from above! Campers will create three dimensional mobiles using a variety of materials, from a decorative dreamcatcher to mobiles inspired by nature. All mobiles will spiral in the wind at Celebration of the Arts. Limit 10.

Adler Idol 

Shredding 101 (11-13 yrs)
Pick your axe and get ready to shred! This class will introduce you to the basics of guitar improvisation. Before long you’ll be demonstrating your lead guitar skills for your adoring fans at Celebration of the Arts! Limit 5.

High School Musical
Drama and Music will work together to perform a short section of the popular musical “High School Musical”. This is a camper’s chance to Break Free and learn to sing and act in front of a live audience.

Guitar Ensemble
Guitar ensemble will provide campers with the opportunity to focus on playing as an ensemble. Music will be specially arranged for this unique ensemble who will present its exciting music at Celebration of the Arts. Limit 5.

Movie Makers
Could this be your first step to an Oscar? Making movies is a fun and exciting way to learn about acting. Campers will work together to create a handful of short films, the final project will be one fully produced movie. You will leave with a copy of your starring role in this Camp Adler Production

Rhythm Nation
It’s time to find your own rhythm! Get in touch with your percussive side as you use age-appropriate drums and other instruments to create original rhythms and musical textures. You’ll learn the value of playing in a drum ensemble and the importance of steady beat. This one is gonna be fun! Limit 5.
